Why do I have so many satisfied clients? Because I insist on giving them more than they expect. In my group presentations, I concentrate on making a direct connection with the audience. When the connection is made, the message is better received, because it comes from someone the audience trusts. I deliver short stories that lead students to healthier lifestyles, free of drugs and filled with humor and joy. I take pride in being a role model to today’s youth, and teach them how it is “cool to be happy” and to do right by others. I teach them about their own personal power, and their ability to reach their potential.
I also take pride in working with adults – male, female, married, single – by helping them to recognize that character equals destiny…that success in careers, relationships, and life can be determined by the actions we choose to take or not take; that ultimately we are the architects of our own lives. As human beings, we have a tendency to concentrate on all the ways life can beat us up. I encourage people to shift to an “attitude of gratitude”, and to open up to the good fortune that surrounds all of us.
It is my great joy to meet with people after presentations. I am always honored by the intense reactions to my message It allows me to see firsthand the change taking place in their perspective. Sometimes, there is an emotional outpouring from young people touched by the message. That is the most gratifying part of my job – seeing people’s light turn on, sharing in the transformation. And that is why I never get tired.
Wherever you are in your journey, my role is the same: to help you discover, or rediscover, your life purpose, your true desires, and your contribution to the world. Until we get our bearings, we’re really just a jumble of misspent energy. Together we will forge a game plan to bring out the best that is within you. There is nothing more fulfilling than “vocational ecstasy” That is,- success through service, doing what you love. You will be surprised at how your life turns around once you begin living on purpose.
I provide a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts, peel back their layers, and discover their innermost truths. This isn’t a tough-love, Dr. Phil type grilling, but an exploration designed to align you with your life purpose and reveal action that you can take to come into the fullness of who you are.
Remember, self-esteem is like a plant, and it is watered with action. The universe doesn’t hand down ultimatums. Instead, it gives us options. Our job is to recognize all the options so that your heart can choose the best course of action. At the end of the day, you are the world’s leading expert on you. I encourage positive behavior, and I call attention to patterns that may be working against you. But when you leave a session, you can count on feeling charged and uplifted – empowered! Your part goes like this:
- be honest with yourself and with me
- be willing to make changes that support your goals and dreams
- try on new ideas as you might try on clothes in a fitting room
- become responsible for your thoughts, choices, and reactions
- be ready to examine your beliefs, which are never wrong, only helpful or unhelpful
- be enthusiastic about, and willing to embrace, the future you most desire
- be prepared to see yourself for the powerful, intelligent person you already are!
My pledge of confidentiality:
All meetings are confidential. The more honest you are with me, the more I can help you reach a state of self-empowerment. There is no shame in my office. No regrets. We face our mistakes, accept and forgive, and move forward with our dignity intact. The point of coaching is to help you climb out of your “stuckness” and live a more fulfilling life. You will learn to listen to the truth that resonates inside you. We all have, in the middle of our chest ,a heart compass that knows what is best. You will learn to trust this compass, and make it an authority in your life. I will never ask you to do something that isn’t in alignment with your truth. You retain at all times the right say no or change your mind. That is what it means to be self-empowered.
